The upcoming Civil-20 (C-20) inception conference of G-20 countries in Nagpur has prompted security measures, including the declaration of the city as a ‘No Drone Zone’ on March 20 and 21. The decision was made by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Aswathi Dorje, due to concerns about non-conventional aerial objects such as drones, remote-controlled aircraft, para-gliders, and parachutes. The objective is to guarantee the safety of the conference attendees, who will include delegates from various G-20 member countries and VIPs, and who will participate in programs at various locations throughout the city.
To this end, the Nagpur City Police has called for public cooperation and urged people to refrain from flying drones during the two-day event. Those who violate the ‘No Drone Zone’ regulation will face strict legal consequences. The police department has taken all necessary precautions to ensure the security and safety of the C-20 conference and its participants.
