Bhakti-Saint Basaveshwara – Medieval Reformer and Philosopher

Basaveshwara (1131-1167) was a medieval saint, social reformer, and philosopher from Karnataka who left a lasting impact on Indian spiritual and social thought. He rejected caste distinctions and ritualistic practices, advocating instead for direct devotion to the divine and social equality.
